README.1ST - This file
TOPO.EXE - The map plotting program, TOPO version 1.0.
TP46121.DAT - A topographic data file for the area from 46 to 47 degrees
North Latitude, and 121 to 122 degrees West Longitude. Includes
two large volcanic peaks in the Washington Cascades, Mt. Rainier
and Mt. Adams.
WESTWASH.PCX - A completed color contour map of Western Washington and
Southwest British Columbia from 46 to 50 degrees North Latitude,
and 120 to 126 degrees West Longitude. Plotted in the VGA
640x480x16 format with 600 ft. contours.
MTRAINR.PCX - A completed black/white shaded relief map of Mt. Rainier
in the 640x480x16 format.
TOPO.DOC - The description of how to use TOPO version 1.0.
Quick Installation Notes
Place program and all files in the same directory on your hard disk.
The program can bestarted by simply typing
C:\TOPO> TOPO
If program is on C: drive in a directory named TOPO, and the data files
are on a floppy disk in the A: drive then the program can be started by
C:\TOPO> TOPO A:
If the program is on a floppy in drive A: and the data file(s) are on a
floppy in drive B:, the program can be started by
A:> TOPO B:
or from the hard drive as
C:> A:TOPO B:
If you have a VGA adapter but want to force the EGA modes, this can
be done by entering:
C:\TOPO> TOPO A: EGA (For the 640x350x16 mode)
or
C:\TOPO> TOPO EGA
and
C:\TOPO> TOPO A: SCD (For the 640x200x16 mode)
or
C:\TOPO> TOPO SCD
